About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where three friends kept sending each other screenshots of weird little games nobody else was talking about. At some point we figured we might as well put it somewhere people could read it, so here we are.,We don't chase the big-budget titles that already have a thousand reviews. Our thing is the odd indie corners — a puzzle game made by one person, a racer with hand-drawn tracks, an RPG that fits in your commute. If it surprises us, it gets written up.,Every game on the site is something we actually installed and played, usually for several evenings. We note the control scheme, how it feels on a mid-range phone, and whether the thing respects your time. No scores handed out from a trailer.,The site runs on our own time and a bit of stubbornness. If a game is dull we say so, and if a studio we've never heard of nails something, we're happy to shout about it.
