Why Tilt Controls Still Beat Buttons in Arcade Racers
Every time I review an arcade racer, someone insists on-screen buttons are superior. I disagree, and Neon Circuit Dash is why.
Tilt steering connects you to the car in a way thumb buttons can't. Your whole hand becomes the wheel, and the little micro-adjustments feel natural once you stop fighting them.
The key is a good deadzone and a recalibration button. Bad tilt games skip both and you end up seasick. Good ones, you forget you're even tilting.
Give it twenty minutes before you switch to buttons. Most people who stick it out don't go back.
